Train with the family

My Uncle Joe and his family came for a visit, and I took them to my train park.

Hmph. Who let all these other people on MY train? They are blocking my view of my domain.

Hey Dad! Why aren't you on the train? Next to me is Aunt Carol and Zizi, and then two rows behind us are Uncle Joe and Christina and behind them is my Ghong ghong (grandpa) and Jonathan (who's not quite in the photo). Oh, and that's Mom under my tush.

Afterward, we went for a climb.

It isn't easy to plan an outfit so carefully that I match the park I am visiting, but it is worth the effort, don't you think?

All in all, a great day!

Goodbye Bumbo!

Well, the time has come to say goodbye to my old pal, Bumbo! I haven't used it in months, so we are giving it to another kid. I thought I'd climb in one last time. Yay!

Remember all the way back in June, when this was new? Back then, I looked like this:

Ha, ha! I was so tiny and round!

Now, I barely fit!

Easter

Today is the day we remember the Anglo-Saxon goddess of spring, whose name was Eastre! I played with ducks and eggs, just like they did 1500 years ago! It was some great Ye Olde Funne!
Hey, what is that thing?
Look, Dad! It's a dog with no legs!
No, really. Where are its legs?? No matter! Happy Spring everyone!

Swim Lessions!

Dad and I signed up for swim lessons!

I put on my best swimsuit, but I admit I was slightly apprehensive about the experience.

Really, Dad? Are you sure about this? Where is the instructor, anyway?

There were two swim instructors. One was this guy.

But we got stuck with this lady, instead. Oh, well!

Hmm.... Maybe this isn't too bad, after all...

You know, this bobbing and swishing is actually kinda fun!

Some work on the butterfly stroke...

And some backstroke...

Ooh! We get to reach for toys?

Got it!

The teacher told me I did a great job!

Yay! Splashing!

Awe, Dad! Everyone can see! They'll think I'm some kinda baby!

Treasure?

I thought I'd jump into my treasure chest with all my toys!
It was really fun...

...erm, for a minute... but maybe this wasn't such a great idea...

Um, hey, a little help, here!

Puppets

I really should have gotten to putting this up ages ago, but here are some awesome finger puppets that my friend Michelle Houle-Hitz made for me! The are great! There is an elephant, penguin, lion, polar bear and giraffe! Amazing! Thanks Michelle!

Here's the polar bear!

Can I have those?

Yay! Thanks Aunt Michelle!

Camel Ride

Karina and I took a nice ride on a big camel! He was fun, but kinda smelly. Not too bad for a couple of kids, no?

Bucket Swings for two?

I took Karina for a drive, and showed here the sights of Tempe.

Then we hit my old favorite, the bucket swings! She and I had a blast, and I hope she comes back to play again soon!

Sedona III

We stopped at a trail head to have some lunch before heading out for our big hike! Nothing like the wild west on a clear day! Karina and I did our stretches and calisthenics to be sure that we didn't pull a muscle or anything during the big hike. Then, we suited up and got ready to head out! Um, dad? Don't fall backward, ok? We covered some pretty rugged terrain. I kept a watchful eye for rattlesnakes. Whew! We were getting pretty tired after a while. Dad thought that maybe we should just sit down right here and rest or a while. A long while. I don't know why. I was raring to get going! What a great time we had! We'll have to do a lot more hiking, now that I've gotten into it!

Sedona II

While we were out hiking, our moms thought it would be nice to get a photo of all of us here on these tree stumps.

It seemed like such a lovely spot!

Holy crimoly! Karina, there's a BEAR back there!

I'm gettin' outta here! Crawl, Karina, crawl!

Sedona with Karina

My cousin Karina (her blog is on my Friends list!) is out here visiting, and she and I decided it would be nice to go for a hike around the beautiful red rocks of Sedona!

The car ride was fun, and then Dad let me out of the trunk.

Yay, Sedona!

Wanna come for a hike?

Here are Karina and Aunt Gail and Uncle Rob.

It was beautiful out!

I should have brought a hat like this. It was really sunny... Dad forgot to pack it.

I liked this big guy, even if he wouldn't smile at me...

All in all, what a lovely day!
