Putting it all together

Now that we've been here a few weeks, Dad's finally gotten around to taking out my big toys to put them back together! I helped him out!

If a project don't need no power drill, count me out!

Da-aaa-d! You don't need those instructions! Let's get back to it!

I helped him tighten the screws for the front wheel fork!

Looks just about right!

And let's go for a ride!

Thank you so much, Ved, for this awesome bike!

YogaBaby!

Just working on my yoga skills with mom and dad. This is Downward-Facing Dog, or as we Yogis call it, Adho Mukha Svanasana! Gotta stay flexible and in shape as I am getting older....

I'm a rocket baby...

Move over, Elton John! Now, I'm rockin' the pink shades!

Really, El, don't you think they look better on me, anyway? You're a little old for this sort of look, but I'm in just the right age bracket.

Glamour Shots

So, I decided that it was time for me to get some really professional headshots, something really classy. I wanted to get Richard Avedon but who knew? Turns out he's dead. So I went down the list to the next best photographer for this sort of thing: Mom! I think she really captured my essence here.

Vogue, here I come!

Boating

Why, what is that on the lawn?

A boat! Lemme just fill this up! I know, I know, they usually work the other way, but filling up the city with water would take longer.

All hands on deck!

COLD!

Yay!

Nothin' like a nice peach on a summer say, eh dad?

[Dad]: That's right, honey! But are you sure you want to eat in your boat...?

Oh, no! Seasick! Gonna be seasick!

Just kidding! Gotcha!

Water table

Dad needed to wash up my car (don't worry, eco-folks -- he used biodegradable, plant-based soap so as not to harm the local ecology), so I got out my water table to play and keep him company.

Gotta make sure I look my best when being chauffeured about town!

Um, Dad? You missed a spot.

Good help is so hard to find.

This water table is lots of fun!

He, he! What? It was really hot out! Just wanted to cool off!

Come on in! The water's fine!

Happiness is....

... a hot summer day and a nice, cool drink of water from the garden hose!

Chris and Joy Get Married!

The wedding was at Chris's mom's place, which was a modest house. Well, more of a modest château. With a commanding view. Of its own vineyard.

Chris was just beaming throughout! (He's the handsome fella on the left. No, not the short one. The one in the tux.)

Joy was just radiant!

The ceremony was great -- at least the part that I saw. I got so choked up that I had to leave. Screaming. With Dad carrying me.

Yay! They're married! And very happy.

Time to party! This is Mom, looking stunning in that little black number, and that's her old friend Melanie from Santa Cruz. And that's the false backdrop they hung behind the house for the wedding. No, that's really the view. Yowza.

Hey, can I have another glass of that lovely Pinot?

WHAT? I can handle my booze!

Hey, handsome! Wanna dance? Why not?

Hey, Chris! Joy, mind if I cut in? But why not? This is just any old dance!

Daddy, will you dance with me?

Yay!

All in all, a great party! Congratulations, Chris and Joy!

Healdsburg

Our old friends Chris and Joy got married this weekend! Ok, they were really more mom and dad's friends, since I wasn't born the last time they saw each other. But we're good friends, now!

We drove out to Sonoma for the wedding, and spent the morning in Healdsburg, which is really cute. Grandma Mim, this town was built just for you. All the shopkeepers were asking about you. They want to know when you are coming.

Can I have my coffee now?

Gimme-gimme!

I NEED MY DOUBLE-LATTE!

Hmph!

Dad's Day!

For Dad's Day, I suggested to Dear Old Dad that we go for a bike ride! This was our first adventure with my jazzy new trailer (thanks Grandma Mim and Grandpa Did!).

Does this thing make my head look big? Really. 'Cause my head already is kinda big.

Mush! Mush!

Coming around for a pass!

I see you, Mom!

Bye-bye! We're off to the park!
