Carlitos III

Being art lovers, we went to SF MOMA, which was conveniently right next to their hotel.

On the way up the stairs, there was a cool exhibit of photos of visitors to the museum. I think that the gal in the second row down, fourth from the left, is a real looker!

This was a cool net made out of giant rubber bands, and we were allowed to play with it!

I caught Carlitos!

Oh-oh. The guard was really nice about us having broken it...

Mom and I liked this big circle!

Whew! We got pretty worn out looking at all that art, and took a rest in their kid space. Luckily, there were no kids around to disturb us, so we were able to get a bit of reading done. And then, back to the exhibitions....

I AM ART! I AM ART!

It was great seeing you, Carlitos. Oh, and Mom and Dad say it was great seeing your folks, too. Come back soon!

Carlitos II

We walked over to the Macaroni Center, or the Marzipan Center, or whatever that place is called. Wow, I suddenly feel oddly small.

Why, who is that behind me...?

Carlitos! And looking like quite the handsome young lad, if I do say so! Long time no see!

Carlitos and I went down this regular, little old slide, and then some big guard guy came over and kicked us off. Said we were too little for the big slide, and had to go play on the baby slide. How lame!

Well, might as well give it a shot. That's Carlitos' dad Lucas at the bottom of the stairs.

Come on, Dad! Slide with me, and then it won't seem like I'm on the kiddie slide! Weeeee! Ok, Dad, admit it, that was fun.* [*Editor's Note: That was fun.]

Then we went on the carousel! They had all these beautiful horses to ride!

So I chose a giraffe.

Weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!

Carlitos!

While Carlitos isn't on this page of the blog, it was inspired by him, because I had Mom and Dad drive me down to San Fran to see him! He had his folks fly him all the way up from Scottsdale to visit me!

We met them at his really super-hip hotel, "W"!

Oh, wow! Look up!

Butterflies on the ceiling! Wow!
(Tune in next blog for Carlitos, himself!)

Gung Hay Fat Choy!

What time is it? Let me check my watch...

Oh, wow! I didn't even realize what day it was!

Gung Hay Fat Choy! Happy New Year Everyone!

Have a great 4706, the Year of the Ox!

ObamaBaby

I would have uploaded this one earlier, but I was swept away on the euphoria! You might not have heard, but we have a new president!

That's right! I watched the whole inaugeration, and I really liked his speech and that poem at the end. They should have told Yitzhak Pearlman and Yoyo Ma to jazz it up a bit. Maybe next time, a tune from the Wiggles would be more of a crowd pleaser...

But take a look!:
See that?? He looked RIGHT AT ME! President Obama looked right at me! Well, who can blame him, really. But with Michelle right there?

Hey, look! I think I see Boppa! Boppa, is that you??? He's in that crowd, somewhere!

Sitting on the couch

The other day, mom and I went over to Carter's house for a playdate with some friends.

I, as always, chowed down. I'm a social eater.

Here we all are. Man, it was tough to get them all up on the couch with me. Like herding cats! But I managed. Next time, I'll try to find a way to get them all to join me in looking at the camera...

Treasure? 2

My faithful readers will remember how I once climbed into my treasure chest. Well, what I learned from that mishap was that I was too young, and should try again when I was older. And when I had more hair.

Much better, I think.

Mr. Monk! There you are! I've been looking everywhere for you!

Whoa-whoa-whoa! Loosing balance! Listing! We're listing!

Aiiiiiiieeee!

I guess I'll try again in another 6 months...

Reading with the Greats

While they were out visiting, Aunt Shelle and Uncle Jeff read me a whole bunch of books!

I had to show them all the Dog-dogs, so they wouldn't miss them.

I know you two are reading this. How'd you do on Ebay? When are you coming back to visit??

Playhouse!

Namma and Boppa got me my very own house! Just for Lela! At last, my own castle to rule!

I put Dad to work right away building it. I don't think that it came in a big enough box...

Lucky for him Auntie Shelle and Unckie Jeff were visiting so they were able to help. Look at those proud builders. Dad and Unckie Jeff built a whole house in about an hour, and only suffered one bruised thumb. Dad, the directions specifically said not to put your hand there at that step. Really, they did.

I had to put a few small finishing touches on myself.

You have to ring the doorbell, here, first!

Then you use the doorknob to open the door!

Welcome to my home!

This is AWESOME! Come over here!

Perfect, huh? Hey, Mom, come on in! Dad, you stay out.

See, you fit just fine!

Come by any time! Namma and Boppa, come visit me soon! I've got plenty of room! You can stay out here with me! This is fabulous!

Thank you so much!

Boppa!

So, you all know that I see Namma all the time, but I had the rare treat of Boppa last week!

He and I took a lovely walk together.

Thanks for coming out! It's GREAT to see you!

Boppa knows how to appreciate life. He showed me how to stop and smell the roses!

This one smells great!

Lovely!

Then we headed over to the park for me to practice my daredevil stunts! This is a catwalk way up in the air.

No, really. WAY up in the air!

But I'd slide down any slide, if Boppa was at the bottom!

Yay for Boppa!
