Art Show

Namma and Papa took us to a fun art show!  The best stuff were these big metal animals that moved when you touched them!

Met, plotting

Hmmm...  Is that a Ming Dynasty or Yuan?  Or perhaps Western Xia?

Famous at MoMA

We went to MoMA, and I got to make a drawing on the wall, there!  Easily as good as a Jean Dubuffet!

Wonkaville

 This tunnel apparently leads to the land of Willie Wonka!  Must be a lot of candy there...

Cop?

 On the whole, Dad doesn't encourage me to talk to cops, but this one seemed Ok.

Ooop!  I think he's onto us!  Let's beat it!

We couldn't decide:  Funny?  Cool?  Creepy?  All of the above?

Characters

 They say the New York is full of characters.  Seems they are right! 

LES

 We took a walk around the Lower East Side and Chinatown.  It seems that in the mornings, the folks in Chinatown bring all their birds out in these pretty cages to give them some fresh air and sunshine.  Which is good for Lelas, too.

 Then, of course, we stopped in at the Pickle Guys.

CRUNCH!

The MET!

Flutterby and I went to the Met, which is the best art museum in New York!  (That's not the real Met. That's a cake.  But it is in the shape of the Met, and is outside the cafe!)

The arms and armor section is our favorite part!  We love looking at all the details on the armor, and at the great horse armor, too!

The Temple of Dendur is also spectacular! 

I also like Van Gogh, whose paintings are made of little blobs of paint. 

Oh, and we like the bears, too, of course. ;)

Walking in Midtown

I find that Dad's shoulders are a good way to get around town.  Cheaper than cabs, cleaner than the subway.  I pay in smooches...

 Wow!  This place is busy!

And we stopped into Grand Central, which is indeed pretty grand.

Flutterby Comes for a Visit

Flutterby is my class's mascot from my school back home, and my teacher mailed her out to New York to join us for a week!  We took her all over town!

This is at the subway stop for the Museum of Natural History!

 And since she is a butterfly, I took her to the butterfly exhibition!

This one is a moth, but close enough...

 THIS ONE is a dinosaur.  Not at all a butterfly!  Do you see us in there?  We are tiny next to that giant!

And we loved the animal displays!

Egg Cream

We went down to Yonah Schimmel's Knishery for knishes and an egg cream!  Dad LOVES this place.

WOAH!  FIZZY!

High Line Park

 Namma, Papa, Mom and Dad and I went for a walk up on the High Line Park!  Seem me schmooshed in there?

We had a great day!
