SF Trip I

[Editor's Note: Sorry it took so long to get this posted -- it got buried under a few gigs of photos!]

We went down to SF to see some old friends. We were to meet them at the Old Mint building. In preparation for our big hike across the city, I did some warm-up runs up and down these big steps!

Now, I feel positively ready for a day out in the City!

These are the gals! Mom and Dad's old friend Maria is on the right, and the rest are good friends of hers! They all fueled up with some coffee in advance of the hike!

And I started off with a nice, fresh croissant! All ready! Let's roll!

To the Fair (with Tom!)

We went to the fair in Sac over the weekend!

And Tom came along for fun! Ok, Dad, I posed for the picture....

Now can I eat my ice cream?? Much better!

The fair was pretty small, and didn't have the world's largest or smallest ANYTHING, but we did get some amazing splatting pigs, and had a great time, all 'round. Thanks for joining, Tom!

Butterflies!

I grew some REAL butterflies in my house! I have this great butterfly kit and we hatched the butterflies from eggs, which became caterpillars and then chrysalises and then...

BUTTERFLIES!

Napa 3 - Calistoga Castle II

Who goes there?? Oh! It's you! Come in! Come in!

We can have a feast here, any time!

Not a bad dining hall, if I do say so, myself.

I had the frescoes hand painted as copies of Lorenzetti's Good Government in the City, since I am such a good ruler.

We stopped into the chapel for a bit of quiet...

All in all, I'd say we've built quite a place, here! Come on over anytime (but be careful crossing that moat...)!

Napa 3 - Calistoga Castle I

I had this moat put in to keep out the riffraff.

But Dada can come in, anytime!

Napa 2 -- Candice and Rick (and wine)

We stayed with my Auntie Candice and Uncle Rick! (Really, they're cousins, but let's not get technical!)

We went to see Rick's winery! It was so beautiful there! And I tasted a few whites. Nice. But I like the wine with bubbles best.

I think we could all get used to the life 'round here.

It was really windy! But so pretty!

Thanks for having us over! It was great to see you both!

Napa 1 -- The Beach

We drove down to Napa so that Dad could give a special talk to some different students, and then we went all over and had a great time.

We went to Whole Foods, got some tasty cheese and bread and fruit and then took it all to the beach for a picnic! It was really cold and windy (but Dad and I still took off our shoes and splashed in the ocean and fell in some quicksand!), so we huddled in this great little beach hut!

We had a great time, and thought about moving in!

Water Table

I got a water & sand table!! Thanks Kylie and Sydney and Uncle Jeff! It's awesome!

It even comes with two boats! This is the best! Summer fun, here we come!

3rd Birthday Party - Parachute

Sorry for the slow blogging! I've been out of town playing with some family! Photos soon!

We closed out the party with some good parachute playing! First, we tossed all the animal balls on the parachute and tossed them about!

Then, we ran under it and played!
I had a great party! Thanks, everyone, for coming! And thanks, Mom, for everything!

3rd Birthday Party - Playing

We all brought our bikes and rode around like crazy!


We zipped around between all the tables.

Jude was a wiz!

And I gave Sadie a few of the animal balls to play with.

Then we did crafts! Are you having fun, Jude? What are you making? What are you doing? Do you like it?

And then some cupcakes! Mmmmm.... That one was good, too...
